Divine Punishment
Qur’aanic Verse 7.167:
Transliteration:
167. Wa-ith taaththana rabbuka layabAAathanna AAalayhim ila yawmi alqiyamati man yasoomuhum soo-a alAAathabi inna rabbaka lasareeAAu alAAiqabi wa-innahu laghafoorun raheemun

Translation:
167. And when your Lord declared that He would certainly impose upon them, till the Day of Resurrection, those who would treat them badly, your Lord indeed is quick to requite and indeed He is Forgiving, Merciful!65

Study Note:
65. This divine declaration applies to all those who ‘forgot what they had been reminded of’ (see Verse 7.165). It’s not that divine punishment was meted out only on those ancient, pre-historic peoples. It is meted out on modern, historic peoples also, although it is done now in indirect ways, unlike in the past. And this indirect divine punishment will continue to be meted out, on this earth itself, till the Last Day. It comes in the form of earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes etc. It also comes in the form of despotic rules like that of Hitler against the Jews or of Israel against the Palestinian Arabs. The victims are those who ‘forgot what they had been reminded of’. And the last divine Reminder is the Qur’aan. The victims transgressed the limits of ‘forgetting’ what they had been reminded of. And the despots should not think that they would go scot free. Remember what happened to the Pharaoh of the ancient ages and to Hitler of the modern age.

With the appearance of Hadith & Sunna at the beginning of the third century AH, a progressive deterioration of the Muslim Ummah began. Since the appearance of these innovations as sources of guidance beside the Quran, the “Muslims” never won a single battle.
Why do 3 million Israelis consistently defeat 150 million Arabs???
Does it make any sense that 3 million Israelis should force 1,000 million “Muslims” out of their Mosque in Jerusalem? Why does India consistently defeat Pakistan? Why do the Russians invade Afghanistan? etc…etc…etc. WHY THEN ARE THE “MUSLIMS” DEFEATED?
BECAUSE they refuse to believe God in His repeated statements that Quran is COMPLETE, PERFECT, FULLY DETAILED, and SHALL BE THE ONLY SOURCE OF RELIGIOUS GUIDANCE.
Yes they have accepted other sources, beside Quran. They are accepting the words of their religious Scholars (Hadiths) rather than the Word of God ( The Quran)
This is what the Quran , the Word of God, says about those who follow the words of these scholars.
They have set up their religious leaders and scholars as lords,
instead of GOD. [9:31]
Again The Quran Says :
[2:85] Yet, here you are killing each other, and evicting some of you from their homes, banding against them sinfully and maliciously. Even when they surrendered, you demanded ransom from them. Evicting them was prohibited for you in the first place. Do you believe in part of the scripture and disbelieve in part? What should be the retribution for those among you who do this, except humiliation in this life, and a far worse retribution on the Day of Resurrection? GOD is never unaware of anything you do.
Yes this is the Main and ONE and ONLY reason for the Current situation of the Muslim Umma as mentioned in the following Verses
“Whoever disregards My message (Quran) shall have a miserable life, then we will resurrect him, on the Day of Resurrection, blind. He will say, ‘My Lord, why did You resurrect me blind, when I used to be a seer (in the first life)?’ (God will say), ‘This is because Our revelations came to you, but your forgot them, and consequently, today we forget you.’ We thus punish those who exceed the limits and refuse to believe the verses of their Lord. And surely, the retribution in the Hereafter is far worse, and everlasting.” (20:124-127)

Dear Muhammad Shafi!
You have emphasized the whole muslim about their defeat from Israeil,Russia,and now from USA.
This is correct that Muslims at this time have been divided in different groups(Firqas) keeping in view of the hadees they are following about which there is no authenticity.
This is the major cause. Since last messenger had handed over only one divine book which is available with every Muslim,how it could be multiplied into so many. These have been concocted,self made.
After so many defeats Muslims are still not awared about this error and they are not ready to have the U turn(Toba). Then punishment is must for them.
Next problem at this time is that all the muslim leaders are in the hands of Western countries and USA. Because their foreighn exchange they have looted from their people are in the Foreign banks. They are serving as Dictators. This has created rift between the present Muslim leaders and the people of their countries.
We can weep upon this situation!

i fully agree this is the the reason for muslim devastation, & westerners those whos religion is materialism , finance based on intrest & arrogance their gains wl soon get wiped out too.
being a muslim i somehow still feel the israelis religious right is to the promised homeland , we muslimscannot take that land it is theirs why muslims not understanding this., What is important to remind that the israelis must not evict people from their homes & must not kill, this is what God has pointed to them in their scripture as well as in the Quran.

As regards the Israelis, it is my understanding that they were pomised a homeland, after their exodus from Egypt, during the time of Moses. But because of their disobedience of Allah and His Prophet Moses, they were denied that homeland for 40 years. However they got it thereafter. And they enjoyed a very flourishing time during the reins of kings, David and Solomon. Thereafter, they again lapsed into intransigence and disobedience. Allah Almighty therefore subjected them to the tyrannies of harsh rulers from babylonia and Rome. As a result of which, they were banished from Palestine and the Solomon Temple at Jerusalem was destroyed. The Jews were then dispersed all over the world. And because of Allah’s curse on them, these displaced Jews continued to be subject to miseries under various tyrannical rulers, the latest in their history being Germany’s Hitler. The Jews had so lost their homeland because of their own misdeeds. There is no further divine promise made of a homeland to them, but the Qur’aan speaks of their being brought together again (Verse 17.104) when they will resort to their 2nd period of mischief. We are now witness to this Qur’aanic prophecy. Their 2nd period of mischief too is bound to be followed by appropriate divine punishment (Verse 17.8).
