Do Muslims Really Believe in Qur’aan?
Qur’aanic Verse 13.19:
Transliteration:
19. Afaman yaAAlamu annama onzila ilayka min rabbika alhaqqu kaman huwa aAAma innama yatathakkaru oloo al-albabi
Translation:
19. Is he who knows that what has been revealed to you from your Lord is the truth, then, like him who is blind?12 Only those with understanding will mind this,
Study Note:
12. Every Muslim of today should honestly ponder whether he himself deserves to be included in the first category of people who know. Or is he liable to be included in the second category of those who are blind? The Muslim could desrve inclusion in the first category if, and only if, he believes that everything stated in the Qur’aan is the Truth and nothing but the Truth. But, does he? Let us take one example – one among many. The Qur’aan repeatedly asserts that it explains clearly everything that Allah asks man to follow or abide by. Allah has categorically prohibited Ar-Riba. This is an injunction that man has rigorously to follow. Otherwise, the Qur’aan asserts, he is at war with Allah! And, as per the earlier stated Qur’aanic assertion, the term Ar-Riba is clearly explained in the Qur’aan itself. But most Muslims, including well-known Islamic scholars, blasphemously believe that Ar-Riba is not explained in the Qur’aan!! The scholars are therefore busy giving their own definitions of the Qur’aanic term!!!

All I have to say is, SO TRUE! We all need to reflect on our lives.

I would like to mention some other verses which the traditional muslims does not understand or not believing, First we will examine the reasons
The main reason behind this disbelieves is every body like to follow the majority of people or what there ancestors are practiced
[2:170] When they are told, “Follow what GOD has revealed herein,” they say, “We follow only what we found our parents doing.” What if their parents did not understand, and were not guided?
We understand from the above verse that people were obsessed by their ancestral heritage of traditions they could not abandon despite clear injunctions of the Quran to the contrary. The Quran addressed man to use his intelligence and not to follow what he received from his forefathers.
The history of religions is the story of the clash between intellect and traditions. Every prophet has the mission to make radical changes in his community. He conveys the messages he receives from God, and the faithful obey God’s commandments in the light of the dictates of reason. In doing this, he disposes of the customs and traditions that clash with the revealed message. The disbelievers accuse the prophets of treachery and betrayal of ancestral traditions, denying all rational thinking and logic. To refute a novelty they need nothing but discord between what has been revealed and their actual practices. Blindfolded imitation of the ways of the forefathers is the motto among these people.
Noah was addressed in the following way:
[23:23] We sent Noah to his people, saying, “O my people, worship GOD. You have no other god beside Him. Would you not be righteous?”
[23:24] The leaders who disbelieved among his people said, “This is no more than a human like you, who wants to gain prominence among you. Had GOD willed, He could have sent down angels. We never heard of anything like this from our ancestors
The Prophet Hud was interrogated as follows:
[7:70] They said, “Did you come to make us worship GOD alone, and abandon what our parents used to worship? We challenge you to bring the doom you threaten us with, if you are truthful
And the prophet Salih was asked the following question:
[11:62] They said, “O Saaleh, you used to be popular among us before this. Are you enjoining us from worshipping what our parents are worshipping? We are full of doubt concerning everything you have told us.”
The following was the address to the Prophet Shuaib:
[11:87] They said, “O Shu`aib, does your religion dictate upon you that we must abandon our parents’ religion, or running our businesses in any manner we choose? Surely, you are known for being clement, wise
And they said to Abraham:
[26:74] They said, “No; but we found our parents doing this.”
Moses received the following answer:
[28:36] When Moses went to them with our proofs, clear and profound, they said, “This is fabricated magic. We have never heard of this from our ancient ancestors.”
The Prophet Muhammad was ascribed the following qualification:
[34:43] When our proofs were recited to them, perfectly clear, they said, “This is simply a man who wants to divert you from the way your parents are worshipping.” They also said, “These are fabricated lies.” Those who disbelieved also said about the truth that came to them, “This is obviously magic.”
GLORIOUS ANCESTORS
The Quran says that truth can only be reached by reason and based on God’s Book.. The defenders of the traditionalist Islam, opponents of this thesis of the Quran, do their utmost to obliterate this conjecture, deviating the naive people’s rational and logical tendencies towards the acceptance and adoption of sectarian dictates transformed into deep-seated traditions. The devotees of these traditions, who have replaced God’s revelation with man-made religion, argue, on the grounds that the majority of the believers have acted in emulation of their ancestors, that their forefathers could not have erred in their practices, so ipso facto they must be duly obeyed.
[31:20] Do you not see that GOD has committed in your service everything in the heavens and the earth, and has showered you with His blessings - obvious and hidden? Yet, some people argue about GOD without knowledge, without guidance, and without the enlightening scripture.
[31:21] When they are told, “Follow these revelations of GOD,” they say, “No, we follow only what we found our parents doing.” What if the devil is leading them to the agony of Hell?
We observe from the above verses that the ways of our ancestors were opposed to God’s revelation at the time of the Prophet, in total disregard of the verses of the Quran which they tried to replace by an infinite number of fabricated sources defying intellect as such.
Can we follow the majority of people?
6:116 – If you obey the majority of people on the earth, they will divert you from the path of God. They follow only conjecture, they only guess.
12:106-The majority of those who believe in God do not do so without committing idol worship.
As one can see from these verses, to fall in line with the majority may, more often than not, cause people to swerve from the right path. It has often been the case that the minorities were right in their judgment. God has not allowed us to find out truth by having recourse to the majority but has encouraged us to use our brains
Individuals are required to defend their religion and must not fear to be cast out. Prophets who stood firm in their beliefs and suffered for their cause while trying to spread their messages are good examples. A great majority of people are afraid of being excommunicated, and prefer to stick to the established faith and traditions. If these people are comparatively near to the so-called devotee, so much the worse.
[39:36] Is GOD not sufficient for His servant? They frighten you with the idols they set up beside Him. Whomever GOD sends astray, nothing can guide
I would like to request you all , What is the First Pillar of Islam based on Quranic Verses and uttered from the mouth of our prophets, read and understand the following verses
[3:18] GOD bears witness that there is no god except He, and so do the angels and those who possess knowledge. Truthfully and equitably, He is the absolute god; there is no god but He, the Almighty, Most Wise.
[37:35] When they were told, “Laa Elaaha Ella Allah [There is no other god beside GOD],” they turned arrogant.
[47:19] You shall know that: “There is no other god beside GOD,” and ask forgiveness of your sins and the sins of all believing men and women. GOD is fully aware of your decisions and your ultimate destiny.
This is the confession that God Himself bears witness to. It must therefore stand as the confession which God sanctions for His servants and they have absolutely no right to deviate from it.
[63:1] When the hypocrites come to you they say, “We bear witness that you are the messenger of GOD.” GOD knows that you are His messenger, and GOD bears witness that the hypocrites are liars.
[4:79] Anything good that happens to you is from GOD, and anything bad that happens to you is from you. We have sent you as a messenger to the people, and GOD suffices as witness.
These verses confirms that God’s witness is the most weighty and God’s witness, as regards the confession of faith, is clearly stated at 3:18 “God bears witness…!” Do they still insist upon changing the confession of faith that God Himself bears witness to? and do they still insist on associating others with Him?
[39:45] When GOD ALONE is mentioned, the hearts of those who do not believe in the Hereafter shrink with aversion. But when others are mentioned beside Him, they become satisfied.
47:19 Significantly, the “First Pillar” of religion is stated in the sura entitled Muhammad, and is utterly devoted to God alone. Muhammad’s name was added by his idolizers, against his will.No prophet will say idolize me along with God.
Additionally, it violates the major commandments in 2:136, 2:285, 3:84, & 4:150-152 prohibiting any distinction among God’s messengers. By proclaiming that “Muhammad is a messenger of God,” ( We are told to believe in all prphets and not to make distinction among them ) and failing to make the same proclamation for other messengers such as Abraham, Moses, Jesus, Saleh, and Jonah, a distinction is committed and a major commandment is violated
